You probably remember Noah and Mallorie’s wedding trailer I posted a few months ago. If not, let me refresh your memory. They started dating in middle school, they’ve spent a third of their lives together, and they are some of the most joyful people I’ve ever met.
This is the longer film, and it’s one I’ve been excited about making ever since the wedding day itself.

Their story comes through in their handwritten letters, in their vows, and in the tearful things close friends and family said about them, and taken together it shows very clearly who they are and why they’re in love. I’m not going to reprint any of those words here, because they belong to the people who said them, but they’re what the whole film is built on.
What I’m most glad about is the room. A trailer moves fast, and there were a lot of moments I couldn’t fit into theirs. Here they get space to breathe.
It opens, by the way, with a story about the two of them at the very beginning, told by a parent who did not, at the time, understand what “going out” meant in middle school. It sets the tone for everything after it.
If you want to see how it was made, the full length behind the scenes is up as well.
Getting married? Even if you haven’t been dating for a third of your life, Rachel and I would love to talk with you about filming it. Get in touch over at FilmStrong.
