Yosemite. Clouds rolling low through the valleys over plants bursting with dark green and orange. Waterfalls thundering hundreds of feet into clear pools. Deer and other animals wandering close enough to look at us about as much as we were looking at them.

Four Days, Not One

This wasn’t a one day wedding. It was a four day event, involving campfires, bagpipes, hiking, pizza parties, an Aggie football game, and eventually some genuinely amazing vows said on Sentinel Beach in the heart of the valley.

Yosemite in October does most of the work.

And here’s the part that still gets me: Sentinel Beach is not a wedding venue. There is no venue. People pull up, park, and get married on a first come, first served basis. I have filmed a lot of laid back weddings. This was on an entirely different level.

The Best Place On Earth

Kristin said it best the first night we all arrived. Yosemite is the best place on earth.

I would very much like to go back and film another one there.

Filmed by Matt Johnson and Skyler Fike. Special thanks to Jordan Laessig.

Getting married in Yosemite? I would love to film it. Get in touch.
