These two aren’t your traditional couple. Craig is in banking, and Julie works on oil rigs. Yes, big oil derricks out in the country. They’re also people after my own heart who love travelling around and eating at new restaurants.
Their wedding was a total blast to film, and everything from the hotel room to the golf course was beautiful.

And whoa, can they dance. I have never seen a dance floor stay packed for that long at a wedding. Julie was out there for about four straight hours.
My favourite part, though, was the toast Craig’s brother gave at the reception. He talked about watching the two of them get to know each other from a distance over six or seven years, about the week they spent with him this past summer, and about how he’d watched them fall in love. He finished by saying that Craig had found his new best friend, and how happy he was for him.
I’m not going to reprint the toast here, because those are his words and they belong to him. But it’s shared moments like that one that make me happy to film weddings.
Filmed at New Hope Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. You can see more of my wedding work over at FilmStrong.
