God keeps providing work.

I’ve been a fan of the worship nights and conferences in College Station, Masterpiece and Intimacy, for years, even though they’re for women only. It’s genuinely encouraging that there are women in this town seeking Christ like that.

I still remember the first Intimacy promo I ever saw, made by Daniel Karr. It was so creative that I remember thinking I wished I could make something like it. Two years later they asked me to make the promo.

The Concept: Psalm 66

A woman in black and white reading from a page into a microphone with a pop filter, seated in a living room
Each of the four read her section of the psalm into a mic while she worked.

The whole thing was built on Psalm 66. Four women would speak the words of the psalm while making pieces of art that represent the verses.

The end result would be four canvases that together read Come And See What God Has Done. Big thanks to Amy Marks for that idea. It meant the video could quote scripture and invite people to Intimacy in the same gesture, rather than doing one and then the other.

Four hand-painted canvases hung in a row on a white wall, spelling out Come And See What God Has Done
The four finished canvases, which is where the whole thing was headed.

Four Hours

My friends Taylor and Chris and I filmed the whole promo in about four hours, and it came out looking great. Over 500 people watched it in the weeks leading up to the event.

I’d love to make more for Masterpiece and Intimacy in the future.
