No, this isn’t another Twilight Video Blog, last night there was a total lunar eclipse that was visible across all of North America. I posted up in a field close to my house with my Canon 7D, timelapse intervalometer, and an 8mm fish-eye lens to capture the event. Unfortunately, cloudy weather foiled most of my plans. Here is the video of the Moon and the ensuing clouds that caused me grief. Regardless of how the weather turned out, it still was a great experience. Hopefully I will be able to catch the next one without there being any cloud cover. Of course, to have a lunar eclipse land upon the Winter Solstice again, I believe I will be waiting until sometime around the year 2020.
